I found this theme quoted a lot in the first movement a microtonal symphonic work a friend introduced to me: 3. Symphonie in Yes-Dur. Die Unspielbare (I forgot the name of the Austrian composer) - there is no official recording of it yet, just the preview CD.

I'm not sure if rhythm and pitch are correct but the relative steps are. And it's only the first part of the theme. I tried searching with musipedia.org but found nothing.

I uploaded a MP3 version of it at vocaroo.com (which provides anonymous uploads).

Meanwhile I tried to find it under Circus music (Wikipedia, YouTube) but with no success. – Wolf Feb 12 '20 at 13:56

@Brahadeesh Thanks for your reply. Seems we need some type of imgur for sounds, maybe vocaroo.com could work. – Wolf Feb 13 '20 at 11:10

@Brahadeesh I see, the problem for me is that SoundCloud is limited to 3 hours for free accounts and a YouTube account I don't have (and don't wish to). – Wolf Feb 13 '20 at 11:16
  • What gives you the impression that the symphony's composer did NOT compose this theme? Symphony movements often reuse a motif several times within them. – Dekkadeci Feb 23 '20 at 16:42
  • @Dekkadeci I knew that I heard it several times before, the symphony was composed recently and is not published yet. – Wolf Feb 24 '20 at 8:39
