I have heard this type of music in many songs related to Chinese culture or Ancient China. Can you please tell me what this kind of music is called? What is the name of this tune ? What instruments does it use?

Here is a typical example:

As far as I know, one might simply call it 中國傳統音樂 (Chinese Traditional Music) or 國樂 (Roughly, "National Music"). You can find many good recordings by just searching some Chinese traditional instruments like:

  • Pipa (琵琶)
  • Guzheng (古箏)
  • Guqin (古琴)
  • Xiao (簫)
  • Dizi (笛子)
  • Erhu (二胡)

There are more instruments of course, but searching for these names on youtube or on Chinese video sites can get you started in discovering some players that you might like. Here is an example from a quick search.

  • ok even if it's national music then it must have an original tune name which was given by its composer. – Vaibhav Pankhala Sep 3 '20 at 3:58
  • Of course, though I could not tell the name of the piece you linked since it is short :). It may also be just a movie score, so you can look up who composed the music for the movie. – dj1121 Sep 3 '20 at 17:00
  • it is not just a movie score. there are several songs which use this tune in their initial tone. whole music of this song doesn't use this tune. – Vaibhav Pankhala Sep 4 '20 at 4:38
