I've been searching for hours trying to find a song in this video (at 3:50-4:20):

Does anyone know what song this is?

(I've looked through Epidemic Sound for approximately 4 hours, but I haven't found anything matching yet.)

Thank you!

I was looking for this song too, and I believe I've found it! Capture a Picture 1 by Peter Sandberg.

  • WOAH! Just noticed this, sounds exactly the same, thank you for finding it! Hope you get this message, haha; been a few months.

In the video description, the music is credited "by Jonny Hyman and from Epidemic Sound. The music you mention is very faint but it looks like Jonny Hyman's style.

Listen to "Arisen, Returned" for example, it's quite close:

BTW, why don't you ask Derek Muller (Veritasium) directly? After all, like in any movie, the music used in the soundtrack deserves to be credited precisely (with its exact title).

  • Thanks for the update! I didn't see that artist's name before, it must have just been added. I'll contact him directly, as I don't see the song on his spotify.

  • I did reach out to Derek Muller, all he said was "I think it’s a custom song written for the channel." Thanks for trying to find the song though!

  • I wasn't expecting a feedback from you four years later :-) Do you think that "Arisen, Returned" is the song you are looking for? Else checkout his channel

  • It was april 17th (2021) not april 2017 haha, it's only been 50 minutes. I went through some of his songs on the spotify, haven't found anything yet. I emailed him directly. You're definitely on to something with this guy, his music sounds very similar as well here: youtu.be/dacoWk6ytOo?t=295

  • Not the first time I get caught by the date format (anyway, as you see, that doesn't keep me from answering). First album (Goodbye Night Sky) has also similar tracks.
