During Michael Jackson's song Thriller, what is the coyote or bird call that is played at 3:11? What animal makes it? Youtube link provided below.

It's a Bird called a Common Loon https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gTH30m87yL4 This was bugging me too!

As the line preceding the sound is

They're out to get you, there's demons closing in on every side

I'd imagine it's intended to be the sound of a demon or multiple demons. Though I can't find anything anywhere to back up this conclusion, I think it would be odd to hear a non-demon noise while surrounded by demons.

  • I think the asker wanted to know the actual source of the sound, not what it meant. – aergistal Sep 21 '15 at 18:13
