This song is based on the hackneyed use of "like" and "umm" in our speech. It's an old song. I think it is called cobwebs but I am not sure and can't even find the lyrics over the internet. Any help would be appreciated.

This is "Cobwebs" by Loudon Wainwright III (father of Rufus, Martha and Lucy Wainwright), an American singer/songwriter known for his darkly humorous songs.

I prefer ah or er
You can rest assured
If you're sayin what you mean then it don't mean a thing
It's just an ugly little four letter word

Doesn't anybody care or am I the only one?
Am I just stuck back in some kind of a past?
Maybe it's harmless but it feels like a virus
And it sounds like it's catchin on fast
Cobwebs
