I recently went to Laurel Caverns. At one point during the tour, they played a recording of "Simple Gifts" set to lights, and I can't shake the feeling that I've heard that version somewhere before. The narration accompanying the music is unhelpful (the song name is not even given; I had to identify it based on prior knowledge). Some quick internet searching yielded this video, but I have been unable to find any information pointing to the source recording. Can anyone tell me where I can find this recording, or what group recorded it?
Could it be Aaron Copland's Simple Gifts from "Appalachian Spring"?
