I'm trying to identify a music video but I'm not sure what year it came out – maybe early 90's to 2000's? The genre of music is pop, I think.

The video consists of one set – a multi–colored, multi-tiered construction of steps, platforms and ramps. There are about 25 to 30 dancers. The dancers are in groups of 5 or 6 and each group are either all female dancers or all male dancers. Each group of dancers are dressed the same – that is one group are dressed as cowboys, one as showgirls, one as cops, etc.

They perform a repetitive kind of routine – each group would perform their dance steps then each group would move to another part of the set via the ramps or steps and then they would perform another set of dance steps and then move to another part of the set and so on. They did this for the entire video.

Anybody have any idea what the name of the song and band might be?

What about Daft Punk's Around the World music video?

The song features in their first album, "Homework", released in 1997, and was released as a single the same year.

According to your description, the "video consists of one set – a multi-colored, multi-tiered construction of steps". It involves five groups of kind-of-dancers, each composed by four characters. Each group is dressed the same, but is quite different from your description: the video features four robots, four athletes, four female swimmers, four skeletons and four mummies, but they did not really dance, just moving up & down through the stairs and through the entire single-set.

According to wiki page, the platform represents a vinyl record, and the entire choreography is meant to be a visual representation of the song.

The music video was directed by Michel Gondry - I would highly recommend watching all of his other music videos Feb 11, 2020 at 20:31
