The discography on Stereolab's official website includes this note in the entry for their album Transient Random Noise Bursts With Announcements:

The original version of this LP had a George Harrison sample on 'Pack Yr Romantic Mind' for which we were denied clearance - we had to re-record the track without the sample but Elektra had already manufactured some promo cassettes with the sample.

What sample did they use, and how? Is the original version, using the sample, available today?

On Discogs some people claim to have a copy of these cassettes. You may try to contact them and ask them... don't forget to post your answer here if you find it.

The Stereolab newsletter, The Lab Report, 25 March 2019 states the sample was from George Harrison's "Wonderwall".

I have not been able to locate a copy of "Pack Yr Romantic Mind" containing this sample that is available for purchase.
