I'm not a native speaker of English so I could't understand all the lyrics of this piece of music on the radio. It seems to be a band with jazz, from Cuba.

The lyrics which I could understand is below.

  • "strawberry fields forever"
  • "We can have so fun (or more fun)"
  • "You got to got to got to"

The radio jockey said some musician names after the track: Frankie Dante and Mongo Santamaria.

But, I couldn't find any track like this from these two musicians.

Does anyone know this music?

  • It sounds like it could have been a medley of songs. "Strawberry Fields" is a famous Beatles' song. "You got to got to got to" sounds like Otis Redding. See the answer to this question for similar: musicfans.stackexchange.com/questions/2686/… Frankie Dante is a salsa artist, and Mongo Santamaria is a salsa band, so Cuba was a good guess. mixcloud.com/RadioComeme/… – Chris Sunami Aug 25 '17 at 14:04
  • Also, this question, also about a medley song: musicfans.stackexchange.com/questions/4523/… – Chris Sunami Aug 25 '17 at 14:10
  • Hi Chris, thank you very much for the reply. I know beatles and otis redding. but it was not a medley or cover of their songs. The style of the song is quite similar to that of Frankie Dante and Mongo Santamari (which i didn't know before). Now i m listing to their songs. But not still found. – Godzilla Aug 27 '17 at 4:28
  • It isn't likely to be what you're searching for, but I did find this salsa cover of "Strawberry Fields" youtube.com/watch?v=nkNv5Y1_Q4c ! :) – Chris Sunami Aug 28 '17 at 13:37
