A 1960s pop hit had the chorus: "Why, why, why do I have to cry..." I think it was made famous by a British (Invasion) band. What was the title and who performed it? Thanks.

Possibly "Teenage Failure" (YouTube clip) by English folk rock duo Chad & Jeremy, which contains the specified chorus.

Calling it a "hit" might be a stretch, it was released as a single, but never charted. However, it was featured in an episode of the 1960s Batman television show.

  • I listened to a sample of the song and you are correct. – lifewithamac Aug 28 '17 at 4:36
