I don't know where to ask or search on Google. Someone recommended a band to me a few days ago, but I unfortunately forgot the name.

The only thing I can remember is that the name of the band was something like: "Xyz F" where the "F" is a capital letter. I know it's not that much, but it should be a more or less famous band.

According to comments provided by the original poster, the band is Alt-J, a ten year old English indie rock band perhaps best known for their Maurice Sendak referencing track "Breezeblocks." Their name is a computer key code for the triangle-shaped Greek letter delta which is often used to mean the word "change."

Although i've seen this song referenced as "Axel F by Harold F".

No further ideas, sorry!

  • Harold Faltermeyer issued an album titled "Harold F" in 1987 - see here, but discogs doesn't list "Harold F" as a recognised alternate name for him in a credit. It would be an obvious alternate name to use, particularly for "Axel F", so I'm not doubting the answer above, but it may just be a one-off. – Angst Jan 21 '18 at 14:52
