I just heard a nice pop song in my hotel lobby but i cant find it anywhere. I tried everything from searching for lyrics to singing it to soundhound. I just remember the chorus, which has a simple I - IV - I - V progression, and the lyrics are "that is just the way that life goes, that is just the way" or something close to that, on a simple scale-like melody. The song has a simple guitar-based accompaniment. The tempo is around 80-90 bpm, double-time. Does anyone know which song this could be?

What are the vocals like, if you can remember? Single voice or multiple? Predominantly male or female? – mlibby Sep 14 '18 at 10:33

"Just the Way It Is" by Phil Collins (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bdFtcAa_pYk)

"Just the Way It Is, Baby" by The Rembrandts (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kAbtxId6Qlw)

"That's the Way Life Goes" by Jimmy Cliff (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o4VTKUFtU9E)

I'm not sure, but these are some songs that come to mind that might fit the criteria.
