I'm trying to identify a particular earworm. It starts off with only piano as I've recorded here https://soundcloud.com/jm-roux-556361227/section1-piano-intro After this there's a few moments of whooshing, then it picks up a beat and and a few other instruments (various, including orchestral and electronic) join in. There's never any lyrics, but later in the track there's a vocal melody in 4/4 time: (note length in semi-beats)

Na-Na-Na: G(5) F(2) E(1) D(2) E(1) C(5) rest(14)

Ooh-woo: G(2) C1(5) B(2) G(1) A(6) G(1) F(1) E(16)

which the repeats a whole note higher.

I listened to this somewhere between 1995 and 2000, so it's at least that old. I'd love to get hold of it again.

Extra info: The track is quite long, I think more than 5min. It has a few different sections with varying tempo and time signature (perhaps similar style to the Forrest Gump Feather theme) so it fits a soundtrack style. It was in a folder of various mp3s that was passed to me, and unfortunately this track was mislabelled.

  • This is a great starting point! But could you also remember if this is an independent song, a film/movie soundtrack, ads, or any other sources? – Andrew T. Feb 17 at 13:02
  • Will edit to add whatever I know :) – Pumesies Feb 17 at 18:50
