On the Love Alive Tour with Joan Jett and Heart, Elle King has been singing a lovely song which could be called "Coming Down the Mountain". It's around 4:20 at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NFIyv5RdRtg&t=4m20s. Rough lyrics:

There's a window in my spirit
I got a door through my soul
If you listen you can hear it
I have a side that no one knows
And I'm afraid, I'm so afraid to let it show
...

I'm not waiting for you, no, no
My heart is racing too damn slow
I've got to get myself
I got to get myself
A piece of that love
And when it's coming down the mountain
When it's coming down the mountain
I want it coming down the mountain

... open
Mind is deadly if it's closed
Like a child I'm just hopin'
...

I'm not waiting for you, no, no
My heart is racing too damn slow
I've got to get myself
I got to get myself
A piece of that love
And when it's coming down the mountain
When it's coming down the mountain
I want it coming down the mountain

I'd like to know where the song comes from and what the actual words are. Various obvious web searches have only turned up that video.

  • I'm not sure if this helps, but is it one of the lineup listed on this article? (warning: heavily ads supported website) – Andrew T. Sep 9 '19 at 7:17

Is it possible it's a brand-new song that she hasn't released yet? Artists often try out new songs on tours before they record them in the studio. – Chris Sunami supports Monica Sep 9 '19 at 14:37
  • @AndrewT., I don't see it there (they seem to be focused on Heart rather than Elle King). – Hew Wolff Sep 9 '19 at 18:11
  • @ChrisSunami, that is plausible! – Hew Wolff Sep 9 '19 at 18:12

It IS a pretty song :) If I were you I'd watch for it on her next album, whenever that comes out. – Chris Sunami supports Monica Sep 9 '19 at 18:36
