For questions about the band "Led Zeppelin" and their works.

Led Zeppelin was formed as The New Yardbirds in 1968 as a necessity to fulfill a number of contracted live performances by The Yardbirds, a band which featured Jimmy Page on guitar. Page recruited fellow session musician John Paul Jones on bass, and joined forces with John Bonham on drums and Robert Plant on vocals.

The band was active from 1968 to 1980, and disbanded upon the death of drummer John Bonham. Since then, they have done a handful of "reunion" gigs, the last of which was in 2007.
